Seek to be good and upright
Psalm 125:4
Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

In the verse above, the Psalmist is asking God to be kind (good) to those who are good and upright.

In other words, when you are kind to others and strictly honest, God would also bless you.

In Matthew 25:35-40, the Lord emphasizes that when you do good to your neighbor, you do it unto the Lord and you will be blessed.

There is a school of thought that says that when you brood over your problems you make them worse. Instead you should try and divert your attention by being good to others. This would reduce the weight of the problem and help you get over it easily.

When Stephen was being stoned to death He decided to ask for pardon for his oppressors (Acts 7:60). He was being good and upright.

The time for writing exams is drawing near and your notebooks and textbooks keep getting missing. Are you going to be bitter or you are going to ask for pardon for those who took them. Then you ask God help you find favor with a friend so he/she can share his/her notebooks and textbooks with you.
Romans 12:17.

Or you may have discouraging and frustrating issues at work or in ministry. Do not let it affect your work output, but instead do everything heartily as unto the Lord, and not unto men (Colossians 3:23)

1. As you get ready to start another week, ask God for grace and strength to put in your best in whatever you do to glorify His name.

Father, help me glorify your name in all I do.
