God hates disobedience
1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry, because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, He had rejected thee from being king

In the verse above, disobedience is being compared to grievous things like rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, iniquity and idolatry this indicates that God abhors or detests disobedience.

Saul was rejected as king because he disobeyed, the Israelites used 40 years to complete a journey of about 12 days to the promise land because of their disobedience. They went round and round in circles.

The Israelites went into slavery several times because of their disobedience and stubbornness. You can read about it in the book of Exodus, the book of Judges, the book of Daniel.

In the new testament, the Apostle Paul had to learn the hard way that there are consequences for fighting against God and disobeying His commands. (Acts 9)

Examine yourself, is it possible that you are facing challenges at school, work and in your ministry because you are disobeying God in certain areas of your life?

Perhaps you are getting poor grades because instead of reading your notes and doing your own assignments, you prefer to copy what other people have done. Therefore, at exam time you do not understand what you have been taught well enough to answer questions. Copying is cheating or stealing someone’s grades and disobeying God’s commandment of
” Thou shall not steal”.

You can examine your actions at work and in your ministry. Identify your shortfalls, ask for forgiveness and grace and strength to do what is right at all times.
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. As you prepare for the coming week, identify your shortfalls at school, work and in your ministry
2. Search the word of God for directions on what to do in order to correct your shortfalls.
3. If it’s copying or stealing, the word of God
says:
Let him that stole, steal no more ( Ephesians 4:28)
Do not be lazy (Proverbs 6:6-11)
4. Obey what the bible says.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to be obedient to you at all times.
Amen
