The importance of thanksgiving
Luke 17:17-18
I healed 10, where are the 9?………

In the Bible, thanksgiving was fundamental in the life of God’s people. The spiritual person is the one who is thankful for everything. He/ she knows that he has nothing except that which is received from God.

The verse above clearly proves that God expects us to be thankful for all the things we receive.

As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ we should show our appreciation for the many blessings God bestows on us. Even when it seems that our expectations are never met. God knows best.

I found this writing many years ago when I was in school. It says

I asked God for strength
That I may achieve
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey…..
I asked God for all things That I might enjoy life
I was given life
That I might enjoy all things
I had nothing I asked for
But everything I hoped for
I am among all men
The most richly blessed
God be with you
