The lifter of my head!!
Genesis 15:1
….. fear not Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
When you say God is “The lifter of my head” it presupposes that you are in a situation that is causing your head to fall. Your head to fall because of weariness or frequent attacks.
God will lift you up by delivering you from these challenging situations and lifting and restoring your strength to be able to excel.
That is the promise God gives Abraham in the verse above.
Scripture also says in Psalm 23:6 that
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me your rod and your staff comfort me.
Meaning, though my head may fall due to trials you are still with me to strengthen me and lift up my head.
Dear student, worker, and ambassador of Christ your strength may fail because:
– You are constantly performing below average in school
– You are constantly unable to meet deadlines for assignments at work
– You cannot meet targets you set for your ministry
God’s word to you is I can still work all things out for your good and cause you to excel( Romans8:28) Just trust me.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your activities in the past week. Ask God to cause you to excel in the areas you failed and lift up your head.
Song for meditation
Let this song be your confession and prayer
My glory and the lifter of my head
My glory and the lifter of my head.
For thou Oh Lord
Art a shield unto me
My glory and the lifter of my head
I cried unto the Lord with my voice
I cried unto the Lord my voice
And He heard me on His holy hiiill
My glory and the lifter of my head…..
Amen
