Be still [ Be still ]

REFLECTIONS 🙄

Be still
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The phrase “be still” brings to mind the picture of an old man relaxing in a chair with his feet on a footstool.

I am thinking of an old man because most young people cannot sit still for a long time. They always want to be active.

In my opinion, God wants us to be still because, it is only when we stop fretting and worrying that He can also work effectively.

Philippians 4:6-7 says
Have no anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Instead of fretting and worrying let’s turn our challenges over to God and wait in expectation and thanks giving for God to move on our behalf.

The term is almost ending and your school fees is not ready yet. You cannot write the exams without paying. Keep praying and thanking God that it will be ready soon. He has promised that because He is our shepherd, we shall not want (Psalm 23:1)

Your debtors are refusing to pay their debt and the company needs money badly. Do not over react, relax, God has your welfare at heart, He will make a way. ( Jeremiah 29:11)

You have not won a soul for a long time and you are worried. God understands, He knows you are working on it, Be still, He will work all things for your good (Romans 8:28)
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Learn to praise and thank God at the end of each day, no matter what happens. Praise and thanksgiving take you closer to God. (Psalm 100:4-5)

Prayer
Lord, help me to remain still at all times in spite of my circumstances. Amen
