Psalm 1:1
Blessed is the man who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers

“Blessed” means highly favoured by God The verse above says those who avoid or move away from sin are highly favored by God

God hates sin that is why 1Peter 1:16 says

Be holy, for I am holy

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled

This verse from the new testament says those who genuinely want to stay away from sin will find grace to do so

Accept the gift of salvation today ( Romans 10:9-10) and become highly favored by God
