2022, OUR YEAR OF POSIBILITIES

But Jesus, beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with god all things are possible.
The year 2022 is just around the corner and we all wait for it with mixed feelings. First of all, the COVID-19 pandemic which seemed to have almost come to an end around August-September has taken a new turn with the omicron variant which seem to be more threatening than the other variants.
Secondly, natural disasters are on the increase because of the negative effects of global
Warming.
Thirdly, there are still wars and conflicts all over the world.
Furthermore, countries seem to be heading towards some form of economic crisis.
Is there any hope of having a peaceful and enjoyable year in 2022? Like the quoted above with men it is impossible to have a peaceful and fruitful year, but with God all things are possible. How can 2022 be a year of possibilities? To make 2022 a year of possibilities we must
We must live by faith
Hebrews 11:1-3
We must put on the whole armor of God

We must give thanks in all situations

We must live by faith
Hebrews 11:1-3
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of god, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Living by faith requires that you do not allow challenges and setbacks to weigh you down instead, you continue to rejoice in the Lord and live as though you have no challenges or setbacks.
It is not easy to live by faith because sometimes; your world or life may be falling apart (there are many challenges and obstacles you have to overcome) some people define “faith” as the act of calling things that be not as though they were; A perfect example is given in Genesis 1- Genesis 2 where God creates the world and everything in it apart from man by word of mouth or commands.
Hebrew 11;1 says faith involves having the evidence of things hoped for. You are praying that God heals you of a headache. The pain is still there but you believe without any doubt that the pain will soon subside.
That is how our fathers in the bible lived and we also have to learn to live in the same way as Hebrews 11:2-3 says.
There are current issues that indicate that 2022 might be a different year, experts warn of possible negative effects of the global warming e.t.c. but as Christians we should live and confess by faith that all will be well in Jesus name. in 2022, the impossible can be made possible by the grace of God.
Abraham and Sarah had a son at the age of 100 and 90 when it was biologically and humanly impossible to do so. It happened because they continued to live in faith. (Genesis 21:1-8)
Arts 5:12 says
And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people: and they were all with one accord.
The apostles performed signs and wonders (things which were humanly impossible to do) because they lived by faith.
Believe without any doubt that 2022 will be your year of possibilities. Things that seem impossible will be made possible by God’s grace and power.
We must put on the whole armour of God
Ephesians 6:10-17
The passage quoted above is lengthy and cannot be written fully. However, you can refer to your bible for the details.
In the passage, weapons of protection and defense used by soldiers are compared to spiritual weapons. For instances, truth is our girdle that hold the whole armour together. Righteousness is our breast plate that protects the heart and delicate organs in that region. The gospel of peace is our shoes that protects the feet. Faith is our shield that stops all the fury darts thrown at us. Salvation is our helmet that protects the head and brain.
Other weapons of defense are our the word of God which is our sword and prayer which stops all attacks. It is important to have all the weapons in place because:
The part of the body you do not protect will be hit, get you wounded and take you out of the fight or defeat you.
If you do not use your weapons of defense you will be hit continuously and eventually be defeated.
However, if you have the whole armour in place, protecting yourself and defending yourself nothing can harm you in 2022. 20222 will be a year of possibilities where all the things that seemed impossible will be made possible by Almighty God. Fear not, be still and know that God is God and He will prove that He is all powerful and can do all things

In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the spirit, Despise not prophesying, prove all things: hold fast to that which is good, Abstain from all appearance of evil
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.
The passage above emphasizes that we should give thanks in all situations. When we do this and obey all the direction given, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, not despising prophesyings etc. then God will be faithful and cause us to do what we have been called to do.
It does not matter how difficult your ministry might be, God will be faithful. Once you obey His directions and the year 2022 will be a year of possibilities.
He has promised, He will never fail.
I will hang on Him

His faithfulness is forevermore.
