The power of positive thinking
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones
There is a song that says: song based on (Deuteronomy 28:13)
I am what God says, I am
I am what God says I am
I am a winner
I am not a loser
I am what God says I am.
All Christians should have the same attitude as the songwriter. Believe and accept that God says He will always make you the head and not the tail, you will be above only and never beneath if you obey His commands.
This implies that you are always a winner. If you confess and behave you are a winner at all timesJ (positive thinking) even when everything around you points to the fact that you are a loser, the impossible becomes possible in your life.
The verse above says that attitude (a merry heart) does good like medicine. Your mind or brain controls the whole body, what you think makes you what you are.
Philippians 4:8
Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things
So if you always think of things that are true, pure, honest, lovely and of good report, you encourage yourself and push yourself to do things that seem impossible by the grace of God.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. When you wake up each morning pray and confess that you are a winner.
2. If you come across a difficult task or problem during the day, do not panic, pray for strength and direction and do the best you can to resolve the issue.
3. God will crown your efforts with success.
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for taking me through another week. Help me to excel in all I do in the coming week. Amen.
